A couple whose love was put on hold because of a imssing letter have finally married. Steve Smith met Carmen Ruiz-Perez 17 years ago when she was a Spanish exchange student in Devon. They fell in love, but lost touch after she moved to Paris. Smith later sent a love letter to her mother's address where it remained unopened after falling down the back of a fireplace. Ten years later, when the fireplace was removed, Ruiz-Perez found the letter and made contact. !I've married the man I've always loved," she says.
